UNAMA confirmed at least 10 civilians — most of them children — were killed and 9 wounded in Pakistani airstrikes on Shultan district in Kunar and Garmser district in Helmand. Three homes were also destroyed. Pakistan said its strikes targeted militant hideouts and claimed 22 militants killed; civilian and militant casualty figures could not be independently reconciled. The strikes are the third reported round of Pakistani air attacks inside Afghanistan in 10 days.

Pakistani Forces conducted multiple waves of airstrikes inside Afghanistan targeting locations in Kandahar, Khost, Paktia, Kunar, and Paktika provinces. Afghan officials reported 4 civilians killed in the latest overnight strikes (September 24), while the UN confirmed 3 Afghan civilians (a man, a woman, and a girl) killed and 4 injured in earlier strikes in Kunar and Paktika. Pakistan claimed it targeted drone launch and storage sites and described the strikes as responses to drones launched from Afghan territory. Afghanistan's de facto authorities denied launching the drones and condemned the strikes.

Pakistani air and drone strikes hit multiple districts across at least five Afghan provinces — Khost, Kandahar, Paktia, Kunar, and Paktika — amid escalating cross-border tensions. UNAMA confirmed three civilians (a man, a woman, and a girl from the same family) were killed and four others wounded in Kunar. Homes were damaged in Paktia's Zazi Aryub district during a five-hour border exchange of fire between Taliban and Pakistani troops, prompting some residents to flee. Pakistan acknowledged striking 10 locations inside Afghanistan, claiming they targeted militant infrastructure linked to alleged drone attacks from Afghan territory.

The record is what reached us and passed review. Thin coverage in a province reflects reporting conditions and access as much as the underlying situation, and absence of incidents is not evidence of absence of violations. No figure here is a national total.
