Dr. Sima Samar

Dr. Sima Samar is a renown human rights activist from Afghanistan who served as first women vice president of Afghanistan, first minister of women affairs and chairperson of the AIHRC. She also held international positions including membership of the UNSG committee of IDPs and resolving conflict, special rapporteur of the UN in Darfour Sudan and membership of coordinating bodies at the region. She was awarded the Humanitarian Peace prize. She chairs the AHRC board.
